This Privacy Policy describes how Chronicle Lens and its internal publishing software, Chronicle Lens Uploader (Google Cloud Project ID: chronicle-lens-uploader), access, use, store, and protect information when integrating with third-party developer APIs, including the Google YouTube Data API v3, TikTok Content Posting API, and Meta Graph API.

The software is an internal tool operated solely by the publisher (Soner Erdevir / Erdevir Labs) to automate video scheduling and uploads to authorized brand channels. It is not offered as a multi-user SaaS or commercial public platform.

2. Google User Data & YouTube API Disclosure

Chronicle Lens Uploader connects to Google APIs via standard OAuth 2.0 authorization protocols to interact with the owner's YouTube channel. When authorized, the tool requests and utilizes the following OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload — Allows the software to upload original educational videos, set privacy levels (private, unlisted, or scheduled public releases), and attach localized titles, descriptions, and tags.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube or https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly — Used to retrieve channel identification data (Channel ID, Title) and track the upload/processing status of videos published by the tool.

Specific Data Accessed:

• OAuth Authentication Credentials: Secure temporary access tokens and refresh tokens issued by Google Identity Services.
• Channel Identity: Channel ID and channel display name, used solely to confirm the tool is delivering videos to the designated Chronicle Lens channel.
• Upload Metadata: Returned Video IDs, processing state, and scheduling timestamps for local record-keeping and quota monitoring.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We strictly limit our access to what is necessary for publishing videos. We do NOT collect, read, or process:

• Personal identifying information of viewers, subscribers, or commenters.
• Private messages, comments, viewing history, or search queries.
• Google account contacts, emails, or personal Drive/Docs data.
• Analytics tracking, tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioral cookies on this legal site or within the software.

4. Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy

Specifically:

• Google user data is used solely to provide user-facing video publishing and management features for the authenticated channel.
• Data received through Google APIs is never transferred to external parties, third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or information resellers.
• Data is never used for serving advertisements, retargeting, or building user interest profiles.
• Humans are not permitted to read Google user data, except where required by law, necessary for security investigations, or with explicit prior consent.

5. Data Storage, Security & Confidentiality

All authorization tokens (e.g., token.json) and API keys are stored locally on a secured, password-protected production workstation. Tokens are never committed to public version control or transmitted to any secondary servers. All communications with Google, TikTok, and Meta endpoints occur strictly over encrypted Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).

6. Data Retention, Revocation & User Rights

Authentication tokens are retained locally only as long as necessary to maintain scheduled automated publishing to the authorized channel.

You have the right to revoke Chronicle Lens Uploader's access at any time:

• Google & YouTube: Visit the official Google Account Third-Party Access portal at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, locate Chronicle Lens Uploader, and click Remove Access.
• TikTok: Navigate to your profile settings > Security and permissions > Manage app permissions and remove access.
• Meta / Instagram: Navigate to Settings > Apps and websites and remove authorized access.

Upon revocation of permissions, existing access tokens become immediately void, and local cached tokens are deleted permanently.

7. AI & Synthetic Media Transparency

In compliance with YouTube, TikTok, and Meta community policies regarding altered and synthetic content:

• Chronicle Lens videos utilize AI-generated synthetic voice narration (text-to-speech) paired with original visual animations, timelines, and licensed archival sound effects.
• All scripts undergo factual research and editorial review against authoritative historical, scientific, and journalistic records prior to video synthesis.
• Every published video is explicitly flagged as containing altered or synthetic media in YouTube Studio upload metadata.

8. Children's Online Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

Chronicle Lens produces general informational content intended for general audiences. The publishing tool does not collect personal information from any user, including children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). Our channel upload settings explicitly mark videos as "Not Made for Kids" under COPPA standards.

9. Third-Party Platform Policies

By interacting with videos published by Chronicle Lens on external platforms, users are subject to the terms and privacy practices of those platforms:

10. Amendments & Updates
